Al Simpkins is a music educator, performer, and industry professional from Napa, California. A graduate of UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Ethnomusicology, he has performed with several university ensembles, including the UCSB Chamber Orchestra, Brass Quintet, and Wind Ensemble. Al has also participated in the practice of Balinese Gamelan and Middle Eastern music. With experience in radio DJing and artistic administration, he aims to promote a worldly approach to music education, inspiring the next generation of well-rounded and open-minded musicians.
