Dylan Benander earned a B.A. in Music from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, and is currently pursuing an M.M. in Vocal Performance at San Francisco State University. They are an experienced educator, including tutoring music history and theory for college students as well as teaching private voice lessons to students of all ages. Dylan is a countertenor who perform with SF State’s Opera Workshop and Chamber Singers. They are also the professional alto section leader at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Dylan is passionate about Baroque and Renaissance music and is a scholar of Historically Informed Performance Practice.
