Mary Ellen Pense has a Bachelor’s of Music and a single subject teaching credential in music from San Francisco State University as well as an Orff levels certificate from Mills College in Oakland. She has been a general music teacher for thirty-four years, servicing a variety of schools with a wide range of socio-economic standing. She has also built her own private teaching business over the last 11 years. Winner of the 2014 G.G. Fitzmaurice Award for Exceptional Leadership and Professionalism in Music Education.
