Valerie brings a global perspective and a deep commitment to connecting people through the arts. She believes music is a universal language that enriches daily life, fosters belonging, and strengthens communities. She is proud to lead Music for Minors, an organization that draws on music from many languages and musical traditions to teach the next generation.

An active volunteer and board member with arts and education organizations in the Bay Area, Valerie earned her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and her M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She is also a proud parent of two MFM students.
